Advantix 40 dog (<4 kg) - 4 pip
Available from us Advantix 40 dog (<4 kg) - 4 pip. Eliminates fleas, ticks and external lice. Repels ticks, mosquitoes, sand flies and stable flies. Reduces the risk of transmission of leishmaniasis and ehrlichiosis in dogs.
Active ingredient
Each 0.4 ml pipette contains: 40 mg imidacloprid, 200 mg permethrin
Indications
For the treatment and prevention of flea infestation ( C. anis , C. felis ) and for the treatment of biting lice ( Trichodectes canis ) in dogs. Fleas present on the dog are killed within one day of treatment. A single treatment prevents further flea infestation for 4 weeks. The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD).8
The veterinary medicinal product has persistent acaricidal and repellent efficacy against tick infestations ( R. anguineus and I. ricinus for 4 weeks and D. reticulatus for 3 weeks).
By repelling and killing the vector tick R. sanguineus , the veterinary medicinal product reduces the risk of infection with the pathogen Ehrlichia canis . This reduces the risk of ehrlichiosis in dogs. Studies have shown that the risk-reducing effect starts from three days after administration of the veterinary medicinal product. The effect lasts for 4 weeks.
Ticks already on the dog may not be killed within 2 days of treatment and may remain attached and visible. It is therefore recommended to remove ticks already on the dog at the time of treatment to prevent them from attaching and taking a blood meal.
One treatment provides a repellent (anti-feeding) effect against sand flies ( Phlebotomus papatasi for 2 weeks and Phlebotomus perniciosus for 3 weeks), against mosquitoes ( A. aegypti ) for 2 weeks and C. pipiens for 4 weeks) and against stable flies ( S. calcitrans ) for 4 weeks.
Reduction of the risk of infection with Leishmania infantum via transmission by sand flies ( P. perniciosus ) for a period of up to 3 weeks. The effect is indirectly due to the activity of the veterinary medicinal product against the vector.
Contraindications
Do not use in puppies under 7 weeks or 1.5 kg body weight and cats. Also do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active ingredients or to any of the excipients.
